Our Airline Operations team is responsible for ensuring that every single Air New Zealand aircraft is in the right place at the right time with the right crew assigned and ready to operate. So this would see you involved in everything from flight planning and load control, right through to logistics.
In this role, commitment and consistency are everything. In this role, you know you've done a good job, because everything is running to plan and running to schedule.
You can't take your eye off the ball and you need to be someone who takes pride in the work you do. If you can solve problems well and to keep getting our customers to where they want to be when they want to be there, there may be a role for you in Air New Zealand Operations.
Flight Planning and dispatch is all about planning the safe operation of an aircraft from the gate at the departure airport to its arrival at the destination.
You might be looking at weather patterns, or monitoring aircraft performance data to choose the most economical route, taking into account all safety-related information from aviation agencies.
Using our mission-critical suite of systems and tools, known as ICOC (Integrated Crewing and Operations Control) we plot our long haul routes to ensure aircraft safely arrive at their destination in the best time with the least expenditure of fuel. We ensure that when each flight departs, it is fully compliant with regulations and that it is airworthy, airport worthy and passenger worthy.
