What happens when you take the Air New Zealand Koru and place it within the Pearl of the East?
You find that we're able to blend the best of what Kiwi culture is all about with the best of all of the cultures that are represented in our region - respecting differences, recognising what is great about where we are all from and "having fun with it" sits at the heart of working for Air New Zealand here in Asia.
Everyone that works for us has the freedom to be themselves, both with each other and with our customers, to take a 'Can Do' attitude into overcoming challenges, thinking outside the box and to not only share their connection with New Zealand but also their connection to wherever they are from - whether that be sharing their Hong Kong or China, it's really about being proud of who we are and who we work for.
Ultimately, it's these aspects of our team culture that sets us apart from working anywhere else and what helps us succeed in this market.
In Mainland China, Air New Zealand was the first airline to provide direct flights between China and New Zealand since 2006. The airline operates daily direct services between Shanghai and Auckland and between Hong Kong and Auckland. The international flights provide connections from China to Auckland and nearly 30 domestic destinations in New Zealand including Queenstown, Wellington, Christchurch, Rotorua, Dunedin and many others.
Over 80% of the cabin crew who fly between Mainland China to New Zealand are Chinese and based in Shanghai.
